State Fair Classic (2018-2023) Social Media and Branding Campaign 

MARBRO Marketing has been the official marketing company for the last 5 years for the legendary State Fair Classic Football game. This historical game between two HBCU football teams has taken place in Dallas, Texas for over 100 years drawing crowds from Louisiana and Texas. 


Challenge: The game has been around for years but was missing "trendy" brand messaging through social media and activations with sponsors tailored for the multicultural audience. 

Our company composed an effective social media campaign that aligned with urban radio station partnerships, and we created reels in-house for social media visuals to increase engagement for the game with their millions of followers. We also positioned sponsors with activations that speak to the college audience with "Club Chevy Lounge" Powered by Chevy. 


The Classic has been an all-day experience with a pre-game concert, football game, activations, half-time show, and post-game concerts with some of the biggest celebrities nationwide!
