Let The Good Times Roll Festival!

Shreveport, Louisiana – (June 22, 2017)- The biggest festival in North Louisiana 3 day event from June 16-18th was a huge success with entertainment headliners- Tevin Campbell, Jagged Edge, TK Soul, Original Pinettes Brass Band, Alter Ego BE Dance Studio, Shiloh and numerous local acts! Along with this great musical entertainment, some of the best food vendors in town were there with BBQ, seafood, and other tasty treats!

Let The Good Times Roll festival has been around for 31 years presented by the Rho Omega and Friends Non-profit organization in Louisiana- a fundraiser to raise money for various events throughout the year. This festival brings the perfect combination of great eats and bonding with family/friends reaching attendees around 15 thousand.

I spoke with attendee Tequila Dupree who states, “ I love coming to the Good Times Roll festival, I have been coming for years as a teenager and now being in my 30’s I am able to continue those memories with my kids- I look forward to every year as it gets bigger and better!”

The Juneteenth is viewed as a celebration for the emancipation day by African-Americans , on that day in 1865 with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States all slaves are free. In the early days, the celebration included prayer service, speakers, reading of the proclamation, sharing of stories, food, drinks, game and dancing.

This festival also brings a little history with modern day fun for the Shreveport area.

It was a pleasure for MARBRO ENTERPRISE to be behind the scenes for this historical festival, we look forward to see what Rho Omega and Friends has in store for next year!
